Kate, this piece had me in tears. I was just starting to get fed up with the cold weather, and you’ve woken me up to a world of magic. I am so looking forward to hanging out with a tree soon. Your work is so important for this world!

Dear Celeste, I am so grateful you are here... here reading my posts, and here on Earth. It’s been cold here too and I definitely have moments of feeling stuck, salivating for warm air and freedom.. I guess that longing is part of the dreamwork. See you in the trees my friend 💖🌲

You make me think of the Italian poet Giuseppe Ungaretti... the poem 'soldati' and its play with leaves and death... the frost line vs. the 'front line.' Thank you also for re-introducing me to David Whyte and the 'conversational nature of reality.'

This was such a great read, your writing reads like poetry and sends me into a trance. Hey Kate, do you remember when you taught that class in Durango and you shared a song with us about soil and stars? I think you wrote it, it was in a class about the elemental beings. I would love the lyrics if you still have them! Sending peace and love, Sam

Sam! Wow I totally forgot about that song, I made it up randomly that weekend.. I know I scribbled those words in my journal somewhere, let me see if I can find it 😘 hope to see you somewhere this summer!!

There is an aliveness in it.

It speaks across species,
