Newbie here. 🌱 Kate, I just had to leave a message. Your vision, your heart, your intentions and way of being with the natural world make me feel less alone. Make me feel like this devotion and tenderness I’ve felt for years isn’t odd or ‘woo-woo’. - I know it’s not, just an old, tired skeptical voice trying her luck, unsuccessfully. You are leading the way, friend.
“I remember thinking it was a peculiar time for a fawn to be born. And that something in the mother’s gaze felt so familiar.
I felt my eyes widen and spill over with wonder. Was it her? The flower tender.”
This had me in tears… I recognize that earth shattering feeling of coming into knowing something truly special and sacred…
Thank you for sharing your heart and beautiful writing with us! ❤️
hi dear one, I am so sorry I missed this magical comment until now!! I very much know that voice you shared about, the one who tries to convince us the magic is frivolous or not real. I have had my own journey with the world of "spirituality" and certainly have come across some things that might fit under the definition of "woo"... I actually think it's important to discern when that feeling comes up because it can help guide us toward our own inner knowing and integrity. But a sense of intimate connection between the land and our own body, that is something that can never be taken from us.. and is a relationship we get to tend forever. Thank you again so much for this contemplation, it is so important to come back to over and over! xoxox
This was a touching story and I enjoyed the read so much. I want to curl up under the stars in the world you created with the deer and the night garden. It feels otherworldly, and at the same time, the place we belong.
Thank you so much for saying this.. I almost didn’t share this story because I wondered if anyone would care 🙃 thank you for reminding me to just share it anyway. Sending love dear one 🙏💗
What a beautiful read, dear friend. I was so engrossed in the story and then when I got to the point where the mama deer and her sweet baby crossed your path, I was brought to tears. Your words are always so stunning and bring me right there experiencing it with you. Loving you so much and always grateful for your shares.
🥹🙏 so grateful to be connected Lindsey and so looking forward to being in the moon process together over these next months… thank you so much for this heartfelt note 💗💗💗
Took me time with this one... because it was the wild in me who wanted to honor the wild in you. "Everything in the wild world bestows a ripple of benefit to others, just through their way of existing." P.S. waiting for your book of wisdom.
Your comments and your writing in general always opens up a mysterious world I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. Thank you so much for your heartfelt attention to this world.
What a beautiful story, so relevant to me as I had myself been wondering what to grow in our new raised beds this year that would be “deer proof” as we have a family of deer regularly visiting our garden! And my childhood garden was full of scented nicotiana blooms, one of my late fathers favourites 🤍🌸✨
Yes this mystery of supposed deer proof flowers still makes no sense to me!! It will continue mystifying me forever.
That is a very special memory of your father, and perhaps a way to send him love notes on the other side.. and what a special gift he gave by loving a flower and sharing it with you.
So beautiful. I have been so similarly heart-humbled before. This week, by flower seeds whose germination I was fretting over, whose fate felt inextricably predictive somehow of the potential failure of the garden at large, and then suddenly, when I wasn’t looking, of their own accord & on their own time, they began emerging. How grateful I am to be reminded that it is not within my full knowing how things will unfold ❤️🩹
Ah YES!! I love this real life example of being invited to trust the mystery, and all the uncomfortable things it stirs up in between. I have been there myself with seeds and called it an existential seed crisis 😂 thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Kate. I love your writing so much. It fills me the deepest inspiration and a renewed sense of abundance and wonder for life. I am also Kate, double Leo + Taurus. 💚
Aw that is very special 🌑❤️🔥 it was challenging for me for a while but I’ve come to embrace it as a channel straight from soil to stars.. so happy to be exploring those radiant cosmic pathways with you 🥰💫🌏
I always open your emails at the speed of light! Everything you share is valuable to me and to our world.
💔🙏 thank you so much dear one

So incredibly beautiful, thank you once again, sister. Your sensitivity and articulation are exquisite. "I love the animals so much it hurts..."
Thank you so much for this attentive and clear reflection, my friend… thank you for being here with me.
I love the animals so much it hurts too :) 💗 xo

I’m so grateful we’re still connected dear cat starlight, I was in Tucson recently and always think of you when I’m there!!
I'm so glad we are connected too! I was thinking I wish I had your address so I could write you letters!
